Brian McClaren
Brian McClaren integrates a high level of energy with a degree in Personal Finance in his role as Assistant Financial Planner. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin–Madison, Brian joined the FSG team in October, 2011. The Personal Finance program at UW-Madison is one of few schools nationally recognized by the Certified Financial Planning Board as a program that successfully fulfills the rigorous educational and ethical requirements needed to earn the CFP® designation. Brian will be sitting for the CFP examination in 2012, another requirement for the highly respected CFP designation, the gold standard in the financial planning industry.
Brian completed internships with a national insurance firm and a Commercial Real Estate firm. He recently moved from Madison where he was a member of the Future Business Leaders of America, and an active mentor in the Finance and Investment Society. Brian is a member of the Young Professionals of Racine, and intends to apply for Leadership Racine in 2012. Beyond his professional life, Brian is an outdoor enthusiast and spends his time participating in various water sports, running and mountain biking. He is a former competitive downhill skier and is currently working toward his Private Pilots License.
Brian grew up on Washington Island, Wisconsin. He attended St. Johns Northwestern Military Academy in Delafield. where he graduated as a Company Commander and he has lived in a variety of locations including Chicago, Utah, New York, and Sydney, Australia.
